Hatha Yoga is the very origin of Yoga. The teaching of yoga postures, Hatha Yoga style, is demanding because the postures are kept longer from 9 to 12 breaths. It is not a slow nor gentler practice unlike what we can read, in order to differentiate it from other styles of yoga. The postures are the same as those visited during a “vinyasa” practice. We must also understand the importance of the term vinyasa which is nothing other than the movement combined with breathing. Therefore Vinyasa is found in the practice of Hatha Yoga, because there is a number of breaths to follow to get in and out of a yoga posture.
This training will allow the student to be able to understand and differentiate between the different styles of yoga, and to teach yoga postures (asanas), in the manner of Hatha Yoga. As the sessions progress, the students will no longer be guided in their practices in order to create independence, this to bring them towards a verbal teaching, including direct and effective instructions.
“ Yin Yoga is simple, but simple does not mean easy . »Bernie Clark
Yin Yoga is a practice stemming from Taoist Yoga, which focuses on long-term passive stretching, combined with slow, deep breathing.
Yin Yoga was made popular by the American Paul Grilley, a former practitioner of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. It is a style of yoga that can be described as therapeutic. The postures are done with the help of cushion, straps and bricks to allow the practitioner a deep and comfortable relaxation. Yin Yoga is a gentle practice complementary to Yang practices such as Hatha or Vinyasa.
It aims to work in depth at the level of connective tissues (such as fascias, ligaments, tendons …) while applying the know-how of traditional Chinese medicine with precise work on the meridians.
This training will give students the opportunity to be able to teach this practice in a safe way with a framework and an understanding of the body from an anatomical point of view.
ANATOMY & PRANAYAMAS
The anatomy will include the different parts of the body and will be based on the work of meridians, using a holistic approach.
The practice of pranayamas or yogic breathing exercises is intrinsically connected to the organs of the human body.
This training will allow the student to understand the basic principles of the functioning of the human body, through different practices and theoretical courses. It is important to note that yoga teachers are not therapists, therefore they are not empowered to give diagnoses.
